🇺🇸 Veterans Uniting for Peace - “Steadfast in Our Oath” 11/11

“Steadfast in Our Oath”

📅 Tuesday, November 11th, 2025 | 7:00 PM EST

📍 Busboys and Poets – 625 Monroe Street NE, Washington DC

💻 Hybrid Event: In-Person & Live Webinar

Event Overview

This Veterans Day, join us for a landmark hybrid gathering — “Veterans Uniting for Peace: Steadfast in Our Oath” — where veterans of conscience reaffirm their lifelong commitment to humanity, peace, and justice.

Hosted live at Busboys and Poets in Washington DC and streamed nationwide, this event brings together U.S. veterans who have served, resisted, and now stand united against war, genocide, and U.S. complicity in oppression.

Inspired by U.S. Air Force Airman Aaron Bushnell, who declared:

“I am an active-duty member of the United States Air Force, and I will no longer be complicit in genocide.”

We honor that moral courage with voices who have turned their oath of service into an oath of conscience.

Executive director of Bisan Center for Research & Development, a Palestinian who has experienced similar attacks and detainment by Israel, and with Dr. Jill Stein, explains how Uniting for Peace, a UN general assembly resolution, could bring an end to the occupation and genocide by overriding the US veto and getting troops on the ground to protect Palestinians from Israeli violence.

Global Day of Action NYC Rally Sept 18

Palestinian civil society is urgently calling on the UN General Assembly to invoke the Uniting for Peace process and pass Colombia’s proposal to protect Palestinians and end the genocide in Gaza.

The resolution would:

  • Deploy a multinational protection force to deliver food, medicine, and humanitarian aid
  • Enforce sanctions and a full arms embargo on Israel
  • Establish a war crimes tribunal and suspend Israel’s UN credentials
  • Re-activate global anti-apartheid measures

This initiative represents the world’s majority—demanding protection, justice, and accountability.

Reject “stabilization” plans from states complicit in genocide. Statehood recognition alone is not enough.
